TVS - Diodes: 1SMC22A TR13 Application Field and Working Principle

The 1SMC22A TR13 transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode is a unipolar device designed to protect equipment from electrical transients, such as electrostatic discharges (ESD). It is capable of handling pulse surge currents up to 22.5A (8.3 µs waveform) and voltages up to 13V.
