The 1V5KE9V1CA is a sub-sequent voltage suppressor from the KE Family of TVS diodes addressing the demands of the global fast-growing applications’ safety requirements. This device is suitable for ESDA applications and provides electrostatic discharge protection for data lines of up to 15KV. It has a low dynamic resistance that ensures minimal voltage overshoot. The 1V5KE9V1CA provides superior ESD protection for high-speed, high-density I/O systems, and provides perfect protection for data lines in various applications. Besides, it supports a wide operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C. When there is no transient surge, the 1V5KE9V1CA chips\' P-N junction of the diode is reverse- biased, and the current flows from the anode to the cathode. When the voltage on the anode side is higher than the cathode side, holes that were created on the anode side become more numerous and allow the current to flow from the anode to the cathode. When a surge occurs, the current flows from the cathode to the anode, allowing the device to start clamping. The 1V5KE9V1CA chip takes a portion of the surge current and causes the voltage between the anode and the cathode to drop down. This drop down in the voltage helps to protect the circuit from being damaged by an excessive surge. The 1V5KE9V1CA is currently being used in many industries for increased ESD protection for high speed data lines.
