Gas Discharge Tube Arresters (GDT) are elements used to protect electrical equipment against transient overvoltages. GDTs act by redirecting surge energy through a discharge path, without modifying the main power circuit. GDTs are suitable for protection of cables, lines, telecommunications circuits, public and private power networks, and control circuits.
