23K256-I/ST

The 23K256-I/ST is a serial SRAM memory device ideal for a wide range of embedded applications. It has a 2.7V to 3.6V single supply voltage and a SPI or QSPI interface with soft SPI capability. Manufactured using a deep submicron process, the 23K256-I/ST memory has a capacity of 32Kbit, with a minimum access time of 15ns. This serial SRAM memory device is fabricated with a single output I/O transistor and Data Retention mode that can be used to stop write operations whilst data at the device is retained.

The 23K256-I/ST has a wide range of applications in embedded systems such as motor control, data logging, audio and video, automotive and telecomms. For example, in motor control applications, this SRAM device can be used to store data such as temperature, rpm and current ratings to control the motor behaviour. These includes Data Retention mode, Enhanced Industrial Interface Command Set and optional soft SPI-like interface that allows for alternate data formats. Data Retention mode is used to store data at the device for a specified length of time, whilst Enhanced Industrial Interface Command Set provides hardware and software commands for quick data transfer.
