25SRC750 is part of a series of miniature ceramic body, slow-acting fuses. These fuses are designed for overload and short-circuit protection of public telecommunications systems and services, such as PBXs, as well as for power distribution units mounted in electrical cabinets. These fuses are among some of the smallest that are available and offer a high degree of reliability and convenience.
The 25SRC750 series of fuses is available in both AC ratings and DC ratings, from 6.3A – 30A, with a rated voltage of 750VAC/VDC. The fuses feature ceramic bodies and glass inserts so ensure excellent electric insulation, and are fully RoHS compliant. The 25SRC750 series fuses are lead-free and passes all relevant safety requirements, providing peace of mind of safe operation.
The rated current and voltage of the 25SRC750 series is such that it is suitable for use in various industrial and electrical applications. These include, but are not limited to, renewable energy systems, inverters, UPS, generators, welders, industrial systems and power distribution units. The Compact size also makes it ideal for use in embedded applications such as metering applications and DC/DC converters.
The circuit breaker’s internal design is made up of a thermal element and a ceramic body, with two metal end caps. This combination provides a reasonable forcespring that ensures prompt functioning of the fuse. The alloy used for the ends of the fuse is also designed to provide a good, low-resistance thermal contact. This ensures that the heat generated by an overcurrent is quickly transferred to the thermal element, allowing the fuse to trip quickly.
The thermal element is, in turn, connected to an internal spring-loaded contact. When the thermal element gets hot, the spring-loaded contact is opened and the overloaded circuit is disconnected from the power source. The contact then returns to its original position once the overload has cleared, allowing the circuit to be reconnected.
This unique design provides reliable protection against dangerous overloads and short circuits. By quickly opening a circuit at the maximum current it can carry, 25SRC750 prevents potential fire hazards and equipment damage, making it one of the best circuit protection solutions currently available.
25SRC750 is designed to provide final overcurrent protection in an electrical system when used with other necessary protection devices. This ensures that any power failures or short circuits are quickly isolated and tripped, thus providing a safe circuit. This also allows the system to reset quickly when a suitable overload has been detected, to allow it to continue operating normally.
