2C16DL stands for 2 Channel 16A Din Rail Mount Controller. Equipped with two independent channels, it functions as two 16A power controllers connecting to the AC voltage. Primarily, 2C16DL is mainly used for heating and cooling applications in finished food, pharmaceutical, and other food and beverage manufacturing processes. Coming with a wide range of features, its controller is updated to a new version of energy-saving self-test control that could effectively optimize the heating time.

Working Principles

As the major application field of 2C16DL is food process control, the controller works based on the parameters stored in its permanent memory. It starts the operation from heating the product, followed by cooling and then stopping after temperatures reach the settings in the memory. The controller also takes into account the environmental temperature and process pressures to adjust the programmed parameters.

The controller control box is equipped with a 0~24 power supply and universal adjustable power supply for customized requirements from clients. Therefore, all of its communicated parameters and logic automation are always under control through the power supply and can be monitoring in real-time. The controller has also integrated with its digital thermal safety, built in power switch, and double speed code running.

Besides the controller, the 2C16DL also comes equipped with an adjustable set point control and dual setpoints with enhanced temperature accuracy for heating applications. It is able to detect temperature values from 6 selectable range presets such as 0-100°C or any required range for better accuracy. Other features include 180° phase shift, selectable temperature units (°C and °F), accelerated or decelerated ramping, high/low temperature alarm and over ramp control.

The controller is also capable of providing 25 types of standard data type for electrical transmission, and the programming is done with the help of a remote console that could be deployed directly on the controller or on a smartphone or tablet. It is further protected by an array of integrated standards such as ANSI/ISA-12.12.01, NFPA-70, UL, and CSA that provides real-time protection.

In terms of energy usage, the controller does not require an extra large energy supply. Together with its energy-saving feature, it can lower the switched energy usage by 50%, eventually enhance the production efficiency by 10%. With a base on the combination of cloud system and big data analysis, the furnace intelligence system can avoid over heating or overcooling. It also allows the user to adjust settings for different stages in the production process.
