2LAL8L technology is a novel non-destructive testing (NDT) technique combined with laser, optics, signal process and computer software and hardware. It uses images generated from laser signals to analyze and detect surface defects of a material or object. The application field and working principle of 2LAL8L technology are discussed in this article.

Application Field of 2LAL8L Technology

2LAL8L technology can be used in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, power, petrochemical, nuclear power and so on. The laser spot is projected to the surface of the material to be inspected. Since the signal processing system has excellent signal suppression and noise reduction performance, even if the surface is contaminated, the diffractive pattern generated by the surface can be clearly recognized by the signal processor. This means that signal detection can still be achieved accurately even when the surface of the material is hardened or covered with debris or oil stains. In addition, because the laser signal is projected onto the surface and the diffractive pattern is generated, no physical contact is required, which improves the accuracy and accuracy of the detection.
