2N1613A is a PNP Silicon Planar Transistor which is the most commonly used type. It is an epitaxial planar silicon complementary transistor, specially designed for audio, voltage and power amplification. This device is used in general purpose amplifier, switching and oscillator applications. 2N1613A has an active region which consists of two regions P and N type which separate each other and the two regions are connected internally.
