Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diodes are unidirectional semiconductor devices intended for the protection of electronic circuits and components from transient or impulse voltages. Repetitive surge currents are also blocked by TVS diodes without failing. They are made of specifically designed components that make them resistant to destructive voltages and currents.
