31.716 (also known as EPR-31.716) is a microwave communications product developed by Rohde & Schwarz (R&S). It is used for transmission over satellite and other communication networks. Its main application fields are fixed networks, mobile radio, digital networks, VSAT (very small aperture terminal), and microwave backhaul.Rohde & Schwarz has developed EPR-31.716 microwave transmitters to extend remotely located networks. This helps to reduce the efforts required for establishing and maintaining dedicated communication paths.
