34.754 is an ultra-high frequency, guaranteed frequency accuracy and providing a wireless analogue and digital interface protocol for low power, short-range wireless communication to meet the needs of a wide range of applications. Its working principle is based on the industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) bands defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-R). This frequency range allows it to operate over very short ranges (currently up to tens of meters).

This makes it difficult for any interference or unauthorized persons to identify the specific channel or frequency being used by the two communicating devices.

Finally, at the network layer, the 34.754 utilizes a Tree topology which is a type of network topology in which devices are organized in a hierarchical fashion. This helps ensure efficient communication as each device in the network is geographically closer to the base station and thus can respond more quickly to data requests.
