The 3EZ13D5-TP is a single Zener diode device, tolerant to some of the harsh environment conditions like radiation, vibration, and temperature cycling. It is commonly used in the fields of linear power supplies, DC power protection, and switched-mode power supplies. Aligned with consumption reduction, 3EZ13D5-TP Zener diodes work to stabilize voltage, preventing the circuit from being over-voltage and in turn, reducing energy consumption when applicable.

Background: Zener diodes are essentially a type of diode that uses the reverse breakdown phenomenon of semiconductor materials. To control the direction of a current or protect against overvoltages, Zener diodes are designed with a very narrow gap junction.
