This Voltage can be changed by changing the doping level of the semiconductor material which is inside the diode.
The Zener diode works on the principle of the junction diode, where it has two terminals – Anode and Cathode. When the Anode is connected to positive Voltage and the Cathode is connected to the negative Voltage, we are applying a forward Voltage. As a result, current starts to pass through the diode and we can achieve the Voltage stabilization of the system. After the breakdown Voltage is reached, the diode starts to conduct reverse voltage and the current starts to flow from the Cathode to Anode. If the Voltage reaches a certain level, the diode will conduct more current and the system will be stabilized.
