This causes the device to conduct electricity and clamps the voltage at its breakdown voltage level. Thus, the device dissipates the energy of the transient voltage surge and prevents it from propagating into the circuit.
In addition, the 3KP26C-B also includes additional protection features such as over-temperature protection to protect against thermal runaway, and ESD protection to protect against electrical transients from ESD events.
