551SDCGI technology is a synchronization and clock generation providing solutions for the high-frequency clock and timing applications in a broad range of product arenas, such as computer and consumer/consumer-driven applications, automotive, aerospace and defense markets. The 551SDCGI technology is based on a proprietary CLK sub-circuit, which integrates clocking features into a group of devices. This CLK sub-circuit comprises several IP blocks designed to work in conjunction with other components in the system. These IP blocks include the clock buffer, clock driver, and oscillator control circuit.The clock buffer is the key building block in the 551SDCGI technology. The clock buffer serves two main functions: it inputs a clock signal and amplifies it to generate the required output signal level and also supports multiple output configurations. In this way, the buffer can support as many clock signals as the system requires. The output signal levels can also be adjusted to reach higher performance such as jitter cancellation, output skew adjustment and power efficiency. The clock driver is a circuit that receives the input signal from the clock buffer and provides the necessary gain and level conversion to generate the required output signal. The driver supports both single ended (SED) and differential (DIFF) clock modes.
