592D477X06R3C2T20H tantalum capacitor is a commercial series that is widely used in the fields such as audio, medical, automobile, consumer electronics, power, and military application. This series is designed with an anode made of Ta2O5 thick film, which has excellent capacitance stability in all frequencies. The working principles of this series of tantalum capacitor are based on electrochemical interactions among material components. When the capacitor is charged, a film of oxide is formed on the surface of the anode, depending on the current that flows through the anode and the electrolyte. This film prevents current from flowing directly between the anode and cathode.

The capacitance value of the capacitor is based on the surface area of the anode and the dielectric constant of the oxide. When the capacitor is discharged, the oxide layer is destroyed, that is, the charge is released. By controlling the thickness of the oxide film, the capacitance value and effective internal resistances of the capacitors can be controlled as well.

This series of tantalum capacitor are mainly designed with two types of anodes, that is, manganese dioxide and Niobium Pentoxide. The former is used in an acidic electrolyte for applications such as DC blocking,bypassing, coupling, and ACdecoupling purposes. The latter is mainly employed in alkaline electrolyte for applications such as low leakage current, low ESR,and high capacitance. Meanwhile, the capacitors in this series could have different voltage ratings, ranging from 2.5 to 50V and along with this, they are provided with capacitance ranging from 1 to 470uf.
