5ET 2.5 Application field and Working Principle
5ET 2.5 fuses provide protection for 2.5A. They are mainly used to protect automotive circuits. They have a quick-acting response to overcurrent and the breaking current is as small as 5% of the rated current. Therefore, they are very safe.

5ET 2.5 fuses serve as a protective device for automotive circuits. Its application scope is mainly circuits, wires and electronic components that have a lower rated current and low voltage. The fuse can provide overcurrent protection for a wide range of circuits, thus preventing the circuit from being short-circuited or damaged by too high current.
Working Principle
The 5ET 2.5 fuse is a protective device composed of heat-sensitive material, silver alloy and copper alloy components. When too much electricity passes through the fuse wire, the heat-sensitive material will absorb it and expand rapidly, thus cutting off the current circuit. At the same time, the current flow will be interrupted and the protection effect will be achieved.
The heat-sensitive material used in the fuse is mainly composed of two types of components: silver alloy and copper alloy. When the current flow exceeds the rated value, the silver alloy material absorbs most of the heat and gradually melts, while the copper alloy material increases in volume to open the closed circuit, thus protecting the circuit from being damaged by too much electricity.
5ET 2.5 fuses have a breaking current of 5% of their rated current. The breaking current is much lower than that of other circuit protection devices, so the protection is much higher.
