It is offered in an RoHS Compliant 0603 SMT package and is corrosion resistant for up to 2000hrs. The 5KP54 features low leakage current and low capacitance. It functions as an ESD protection diode by protecting a wider voltage range in a single package. The device typically exhibits a clamping voltage of 18V and peak pulse current of 5.4A (8/20 μs). Further, these devices are designed to be an ultra-fast shunt regulator that provides a low clamping voltage solution for protecting sensitive components from transient voltage spikes on the input signal lines.
