The 61127-5022LF is available in two different versions, one with a recessed card edge guide and one with an elevated card edge guide. The recessed version is designed to provide the device with an elevated card angle for insertion and is suited for mid-height applications. The elevated version provides a more standard profile and is suitable for low-profile applications. Both versions are available with a military or commercial grade shell.The 61127-5022LF is a high-density interconnect solution that interchangeably accepts Compactflash™ I, Compactflash™ II, as well as Type II PC Card. This connector is perfect for applications requiring extended use/insertion cycles. It has a memory board area to mount memory to the PC board, combining high density connector with memory sandwhich. PCB mountable surface hinge retention, precise card guide and release design with light card detection feature are other advantages of this connector.The 61127-5022LF working principle is based on its contact arrangement. This connector has two rows of three contacts each. They are arranged with two 5mm contacts on either side of the card and one 7.85mm contact in the center. The center contact engages with the edge contacts on the card to provide both power and ground to the card. The 5mm contact on either side of the card provide for signal transmission. Contact Force is intended to maximize insertion/extraction force of the card while wiping the card clean during insertion and withdrawal from the socket. The contact force is applied to the spring arms via side screws. One of the most important features is the AUTOLOCK retention feature, which provides an audible click when the card is inserted and ensures reliable card retention. The card ejector provides reliable and easy card removal without disturbing the adjacent cards. Even with cards plugged into the connector, it is possible to replace and unplug cards without using a tool.
