The 650R-01ILF is a high-frequency differential clock interface device used to distribute a 20-pin, low skew, programmable, and synchronized clock signal to a complex array of clock loads in a cost-effective manner. This device is also capable of driving low-voltage PCI Express and EMI-sensitive multiple outputs. It has a frequency range of 1.25 MHz to 167.2 MHz.
The 650R-01ILF operates under the principle of a differential clock buffer IC, which combines functions such as buffering, distributing clocks and providing outputs. This device can amplify as well as shape a clock signal as it passes from the input pins to the output pins. It is also capable of re-timing, controlling and adjusting the frequency of the clock signal. The 6R50-01ILF\'s differential clock buffer enables a single clock signal to be distributed to multiple circuits, where many devices can share the same clock. This helps reduce clock-skew issues, eliminate the need for multiple, integrated clock source and greatly reduce the cost for clock distribution. This optimized design not only simplifies the circuit board design but also yields intrinsic advantages such as improved performance and expanded application range.
In addition, the device is equipped with the latest Clock Management Unit (CMU) technology and a dedicated ecosystem, providing superior clock jitter performance and frequency / phase synchronization up to 67MHz. Further, the 650R-01ILF also provides a dedicated Power Down Mode that allows the device to remain synchronized and ready to use when power is restored.
The 650R-01ILF utilizes a patented clock control loop to obtain a more accurate timing control. This clock control feature, derived from a dual-phase detector technology, is used to maintain accurate timing at all times. During an operating state, the digital part of the device notices a difference between the input and output clock signals and adjusts its output to minimize the discrepancy. This ensures proper synchronization and makes the device an ideal solution for use in many demanding applications.
