Tantalum-Polymer CapacitorsTantalum-polymer capacitors are a class of capacitors that combine two distinct types of capacitors: a tantalum electrolytic capacitor and a capacitor made from a thin sheet of polymer electrolyte material. The combination of these two capacitor types allows for the use of higher capacitance and higher voltage ratings than tantalum electrolytic capacitors can provide on their own. The structure of the tantalum-polymer capacitor is similar to that of a traditional tantalum electrolytic capacitor.
