Time delay relays are used in some industrial and home automation applications primarily for the purpose of delay and it provides a wide variety of functions. One such type of delay relay is the 7012BE which is a electronic unit used to control an electrical load after a predetermined time delay.
7012BE Application Field and Working Principle
The 7012BE is a multifunctional timer module which can be used in a variety of situations. For example, it can be used to switch on an air conditioner after a set delay or to turn off the lights after a particular time interval has elapsed. It can also be used in brake systems, engines, electronic appliances, control systems, and hydraulic systems.
The 7012BE has a couple of terminals which provide voltage and current protection and also allow for external control. On the board, there are two LED lights which indicate whether the relay is on or off and whether the delay time is active or not.
The relay is composed of an electronic circuit, a control circuit, and a time-delay circuit. The electronic circuit comprises of a capacitor, a resistor, an inductor, a photoelectric isolator, two NPN transistors, and an inverter circuit. The control circuit is composed of a main control quanta, a digital control quanta, and a timer indicating quanta, and the time-delay circuit contains two high-speed oscillators, a timing chip, and a timer indicating circuit.
The 7012BE is triggered with a signal, when the first oscillator oscillates in a rapid cycle, the time delay control circuit will display the time. When the customer specified time passes, the second oscillator will start to oscillate, which then will trigger the output switch to turn on or off.
Due to its versatility and reliable operation, the 7012BE is an ideal device for breaking circuits, switching lights, controlling machines, and delaying the start of an electrical device. It is an essential element for improving system performance and ease of operation.
