  Working Principle
  • The 74AC151MTC multiplexer consists of two functional parts; the switch function and the control logic. The switch function is designed to provide a low impedance connection between the data input and data output lines when the multiplexer is activated. The control logic is used to determine which input is connected to the output, and the logic uses the combination of the select inputs to determine this.
  • When the select inputs are connected to ground, the multiplexer switches the ‘000’ input, (input 1 of 8) to the data output. If the select inputs are connected to a logic ‘1’, then the ‘111’ input (input 8 of 8) will be switched to the data output. All of inputs that fall between these two sets of select inputs, will be switched to the data output depending on their location within the data input lines.
