It is fabricated with advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology. This technology offers low power dissipation, high noise immunity, and fast switching speeds. The latch retains its state until a different state is latched in.The latch consists of an Interior 8-bit latch and 2 associated 8-bit-to-1-bit decoders (input side and output side). The 8-bit latch is composed of 8 master-slave flip-flops, each having two three-state output stages. This circuitry provides the latch with the capability to latch 8 bits of data, referred to as D0-D7. The two 8-bit-to-1-bit decoders are used to decode the Input address lines Address A0-A3 and Output Enable line OE. When OE is HIGH and one of the input address lines is active, the content of the 8-bit latch is available at the output pins Q0-Q7.74ACQ573SJX is widely used in systems such as 32-bit microcontrollers, embedded systems, PC systems, and embedded control units. This device has been designed to operate with a VCC supply voltage ranging from 2.0V to 3.6V. The 74ACQ573SJX provides a maximum output current of 50mA and is specified for operation up to 125°C.The working principle is straightforward: by applying the appropriate input address signals and taking the output enable signal (OE) low, the content of the eight-bit latch is available at the output pins. On the other hand,input data can be latched into the latch by merely driving 8 bits of data at the input pins (D0-D7) while taking the OE low. This would cause the output to remain in a latched state until the OE goes high, when the outputs will return to a high impedance state.The 74ACQ573SJX device can latch 8 parallel data inputs to its 8 outputs, and can also provide three-state capability.
