The 74ACT373S is a single 8-bit latch which uses clocked, tristate output and latched-in data selection and loading. It consists of an 8-bits data latch and 4 control input pins (Cl, LE, CE and OE).When the latch enable (LE) and clock enable (CE) are both active (at logic 1), stored information can be loaded onto the pins. The latch enable forces the output pins to the same state as the input pins, thus allowing data to be loaded onto the output pins. The clock enable starts the input data loading process and allows the data to be shifted into the output pins. The output enable is used to control the output stage of the latch and has a tristate logic pin, allowing it to drive multiple loads.The 74ACT373S has a strong bus hold capability and its operation is guaranteed over a wide voltage range, from 2.7V to 5.5V. This ensures that data is stored reliably, even under varying power conditions, making it ideal for battery operated device applications.
