These components are capable of converting a single-ended unipolar current logic like CMOS or TTL to VHDL, and vice versa.

The 74AVC4T245BQ-Q100X has a specialized application field and operating principle. It is specifically designed for the conversion of data signals (TTL/CMOS, 1.8V/3.3V, or 5V) between two independent signalling domains, without causing any miscommunication due to different timing characteristics as well as generating any noise.

The device operation is based on the familiar source follower scheme illustrated in the figure. The switching threshold is developed using the same non-linear transmission characteristics of the driving stages, which makes it ideal for Level Shifting applications. Additionally, the device features noise immunity by using a combination of debounce and over voltage protection circuitry.

The 74AVC4T245BQ-Q100X features low static and dynamic power consumption, which makes it ideal for low-power applications.
