The 74V2G384STR application field and working principle is a variation of the logic-signal switching family. This switch uses logic signals rather than voltage or power-signal switch to produce a better signal to noise ratio. It was designed to be used in applications such as switching and relays, computer networks, and low power circuits which require high performance. 

The 74V2G384STR package comes in two packages; DIP and Gull wing. This device is a 16-channel digital switch, which uses digital logic signals to control signals. It has a low power consumption and provides output signals that are clean and reliable. The switch has an operating voltage range of -5 to +6 Volts, and a tolerance of 0.2V. It also features an adjustable threshold of 0.8 to 1.5 Volts, and a propagation delay of up to 4 msec. The device is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -10 to +60 degrees Celsius. 

The device has 16 selectable switch channels, each with two pins. The two pins are used for control and for powering the switch.
