Snap Action
In a Snap Action device, two electrical contacts are separated by a gap, which is kept small enough that even a relatively light external force can bridge the gap. This force may be a light finger press, or a heavy weight, depending on the gap size. The contacts are normally closed and feature a “snap” action when a user applies pressure. When this pressure is removed, the gap closes and the Switch is re-energized.
