Working Principle

The 924CE2-T9 snap-action switch utilizes a form of direct mechanical contact for its electrical control. That is, when an electromechanical contact is brought together, a spark occurs that allows current to flow, thus closing the circuit and allowing the device to operate. On the other hand, when the contact is separated, the current is no longer able to flow, thus interrupting the circuit and stopping the device.

The snap-action switch has two different sets of contacts, one set is normally open (NO) and the other is normally closed (NC). Depending on the desired result, the two contacts may either be used together or separately. For instance, when two NC contacts are coming together, an electrical circuit is closed and when two NO contacts come together, an electrical circuit is opened.

The snap-action switch also features a spring-loaded mechanism which requires very little effort to operate. The contacts close or open quickly and precisely with only a slight movement, thereby allowing the switch to act quickly even in confined spaces.
