The A1322EUA is a member of the AMR family of magnetic sensors. This digital, linear Hall-effect device is capable of sensing both North and South pole magnetic fields for a wide range of applications. The A1322EUA features Crosstalk Immunity, Magnetic Field Immunity, and a MagLock® technology to provide highly reliable sensing up to 50mA. This device has a wide variety of applications, including compass (ICs) and laser navigation systems, magnetic actuation, and magnetic field sensing for industrial automation, robotics, and medical imaging.
The linear Hall-effect A1322EUA sensor is designed to detect and accurately signal the orientation of a magnetic field. It measures the directional flux density of a magnetic field at any given point in space. The device has a dynamic range of ±20mT (4 Gauss) to ±50mT (10 Gauss). It has a quiescent current of 10µA and can operate at temperatures up to 125°C.
The A1322EUA features a differential output which is driven by a single wire, bipolar, constant current source. The output follows the differential signal generated in response to the magnetic field. The differential output is capable of driving a load up to 30mA. A 1322EUA also features magnetic field resistance which allows the device to resist any interference from nearby magnetic fields.
For compass (ICs) and laser navigation system applications, the A1322EUA’s MagLock® technology eliminates the need for sweat soldering and eliminates distortion of polarity caused by mechanical vibrations. The MagLock® technology also allows for fast and easy field calibration. The MagLock® technology is an advanced sensor technology that allows the device to measure the direction of a magnetic field, while rejecting interference from other sources. This makes the A1322EUA ideal for applications where directional accuracy is critical.
Other applications of the A1322EUA include magnetic actuation, such as in automotive door locks and industrial door locks systems, and magnetic field sensing for industrial automation, robotics, and medical imaging. It can be used in systems that have a tight control on their magnet movement or to measure magnetic fields in areas where there is a large amount of background noise.
