A1322LUA is a magnetic sensor chip designed for linear, compass (ICs) applications. This Hall Effect-Based OutChipTM chipset uses an advanced internal Hall element to provide reliable measurements of linear and magnetic flux changes in the presence of changing magnetic fields. The A1322LUA features three distinct operating modes that support high precision linear measurement, magnetic compass, and linear interpolation applications for various consumer, industrial, and automotive needs.
In linear measurement mode, the A1322LUA returns a resistive-open signal proportional to the magnitude of the applied magnetic field. This mode offers excellent sensitivity, precision, and accuracy for a wide range of linear measurements. The compass (ICs) mode of operation returns an angular direction of the applied magnetic field vector relative to the sensing axis of the A1322LUA. This mode offers superior performance in compass solutions, especially when combined with advanced compensation algorithms such as fluxgate correction and cosine correction.
The A1322LUA\'s linear interpolation mode of operation allows the user to calculate the actual direction of the applied magnetic field vector from a combination of angular interpolation and linear measurement data. This mode offers a great enhancement in applications such as user detection in automotive systems and electronic compass modules. The user simply defines the number of linear measurements to be collected, and the A1322LUA automatically collects and parses the linear data acquired into a specifically defined angular orientation.
The A1322LUA also features a wide range of advanced features such as an on-board temperature sensor, an adjustable rate of angular rotation, a linear measurement interpolation step size, bi-directional magnetometer measurements, multiple communication protocols, and a configurable threshold alert system to enable precise measurement and precise position control.
The versatility of the A1322LUA allows it to be used in a number of different linear, compass (ICs), and linear interpolation applications. It is an ideal choice for automotive user detection systems, automotive navigation modules, industrial robotics, mobile phones, and for many other applications that require reliable linear measurement or precise magnetic positioning capabilities.
