The A3966SLBTR-T is based on a BCDMOS process which offers low on-resistance, fast switching speed, with high energy efficiency and long-term reliability. It has a control system which includes built-in oscillator and current sense and features a highly efficient, pulse-width modulated (PWM) bipolar stepper motor driver.
The A3966SLBTR-T has a working voltage range of 5.5V to 40V, and it is capable of driving a motor with a phase current of up to 3A. It also supports a wide range of microstepping modes, with a resolution up to 1/16 step. The device also features on-chip thermal shutdown circuitry which protects against over-temperature conditions.
In addition, the A3966SLBTR-T also features a selectable step/direction logic level which allows the output signal to be adjusted to match the logic level of the host microcontroller.
