TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) diodes act as surge protectors, vast amounts of electricity to quickly been connected in parallel across a circuit. A5KP75CA-G or as its otherwise known the SMAJ75CA-TR is a common TVS diode used for automotive and industrial applications. These will protect circuits against harsh power supplies or power spikes.
