AAT3200IGY-3.0-T1 is a low dropout linear regulator from the Panasonic line of integrated-circuit voltage regulators. It is designed to provide a regulated voltage of 3.0V ±1% over full output current and temperature ranges. This regulator is capable of supplying up to 800mA of power continously and up to 2.5A peak. Working Principle

The AAT3200IGY-3.0-T1 utilizes a topology that is a combination of series and shunt regulator, which eliminates output voltage droop resulting from increased load current. A low-noise linear regulator provides high-peak current pulses without requiring an external capacitor. A wide range of input power supply is accepted.

The output voltage is regulated using a control amplifier and an external N-channel MOSFET. The control amplifier compares the error amplifier output voltage with the reference voltage and adjusts the gate voltage of the external MOSFET to regulate the output voltage. The enable pin allows the output voltage to be regulated or disabled, depending on the logic level applied to the pin.

The AAT3200IGY-3.0-T1 operates from a wide input voltage range from 2.0V to 5.5V and provides a well regulated output voltage of 3.0V ±1%. The output voltage tracking feature allows the device to closely track the output voltage of an upstream regulator when used on multiple power nodes.

The device comes in an 8-pin QFN package and has a maximum junction temperature of 125°C.
