Working Principle

It also uses a high frequency switching photodetector to minimize signal noise and reduce power consumption. Additionally, it employs high-voltage CMOS and opto-isolator technology to provide transmission of signals up to 16 Mbps.
The AD261AND-3 digital isolator works by isolating the source circuit from the destination circuit. In operation, the source circuit sends a signal to the opto-coupler, which creates an electrical pulse which is then sent to the destination circuit. This pulse provides a definite “ON” or “OFF” state, depending on the signal strength, and is used to turn the destination circuit on or off.
