The AD5440YRUZ-REEL is a monolithic, high-performance, low-power 4-channel, 10-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with voltage-based output drives built on a common substrate. It is capable of providing precision signals to control a variety of system functions such as DC-DC or linear voltage regulator or as reference for other system devices.The AD5440YRUZ-REEL is designed to withstand a wide temperature range and is characterized for operation from –40°C to +125°C. The AD5440YRUZ-REEL is offered in a high-value and small-footprint 6-lead SSOP-8 package with a voltage range of 3V to 6V.The device features 4 independent power supplies for each DAC, a 4-times MUX, a dual-edged-clocked 10-bit DAC, a fourth-order switched capacitor lowpass filter with very low group delay, and a low noise high output drive buffer. In addition, the 8th-order Switched-Capacitor low-pass filter further simplifies the application requirements and solvers the signal-to-noise ratio issues.The device can be controlled via the integrated Digital to Analog Interface. This interface has a complete range of both addresses and commands which makes the device easier to use and configure. The user may also use the SPI or I2C interface for interface control.The AD5440YRUZ-REEL is suitable for a wide range of applications and is ideal for use in wireless, telecommunication, industrial, and medical systems. It is also ideal for controlling DC-DC and linear voltage regulators, switching amplifiers, and as a reference for other system devices.The AD5440YRUZ-REEL also has an internal OTP memory that can store configuration data, allowing the device to operate in a standalone mode and reducing system start-up time.The device operates on a single power supply and can draw up to 9.5 mA at the lowest voltage settings. It outputs signals approximately 3 kHz at 3V and 4 kHz at 6V.
