The EVAL-AD5422LFEBZ evaluation board from Analog Devices is a fully integrated, high-performance, dual 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC). It is ideal for industrial, motor control, data acquisition, and audio applications.
The EVAL-AD5422LFEBZ evaluation board provides two full-featured DACs and features differential, current-output, unipolar, or bipolar conversion modes. With a wide supply operating range of 3V to 5.5V, the DAC is capable of low-power, low-noise, and low-distortion operation. It also has a high speed power-up/power-down switching time of 1µs or less.
The onboard voltage reference provides highly stable, low-noise operation with typical drift of 0.2ppm/year and low noise of ±100ppm peak-to-peak. It is ideal for use in applications requiring precise output accuracy. The reference can be easily adjusted to the desired output voltage. Furthermore, the DAC includes a range of digital control features such as precision digital offset cancellation and gain and offset trim up to 20 bits of resolution.
In addition, the EVAL-AD5422LFEBZ evaluation board features an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) that allows the user to control and monitor each of the DACs. The GUI gives users the ability to adjust the output range, offset, gain, etc. in addition to access to the built-in test modes. The GUI also includes an integrated capacitive voltage sensor to measure the output voltage of the DAC and an oscilloscope for real-time monitoring of the DAC’s output signals.
