1. Describe
The AD587JRZ represents a major advance in state-of-the-art technology Monolithic Voltage Reference. Buried Zener Diodes and High Laser Wafer Trimming Using Proprietary Ion Implantation stable thin film resistor, the AD587JRZ provides excellent Low cost performance. Because the AD587JRZ uses industry standard pinout, many systems can be instantly upgraded with the AD587JRZ. The reference design’s buried Zener approach provides lower Noise and drift ratios for bandgap voltage references. AD587JRZ A noise reduction pin is provided that can be used to further reduce Noise level generated by buried zener diodes. AD587JRZ is recommended as an 8-bit reference, Requires external 10-, 12-, 14- or 16-bit DAC exact reference. The device is also ideal for continuous Approximate or integral ADC up to 14-bit accuracy. In general, it provides better performance than the standard on-chip reference. The AD587J and AD587K are rated to operate at 0°C to 70°C, the AD587U is specified to operate at −55°C to +125°C. AD587JQ and AD587UQ models available In 8-lead CERDIP. Other models use 8-pin SOIC Packages for surface mount applications or 8-pin PDIP.

3. PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
1. Laser trimming of both initial accuracy and temperature coefficients.
- This laser trimming results in very low errors over temperature without the use of external components.
- The AD587U guarantees ±14 mV maximum total error between −55°C and +125°C.
2. Optional fine trim connection. This connection is designed for applications requiring higher precision.
3. Instant upgrade of any system using an industry-standard pinout 10 V reference.
4. Very low output noise. AD587 output noise is typically 4 μV p-p. A noise-reduction pin is provided for additional noise filtering using an external capacitor.
