AD602ARZ-R7

AD602ARZ-R7 is a high performance integrated circuit designed by Analog Devices, which belongs to Linear-Amplifiers-Instrumentation, OP Amps, Buffer Amps series. It is a single supply, high performance, chopper stabilised, buffered amplifier. AD602ARZ-R7 includes input buffer amplifier, intermediate gain stages and output amplifier, which are interconnected by a set of internal feedback sections.
The frequency response of the AD602ARZ-R7 is wide enough to support a variety of applications ranging from Stereo Multi-Media, High Resolution Digital Video till Audio, Video and RF applications. In addition, the small package size of the AD602ARZ-R7, namely the 5-SOT makes it a suitable alternative for those applications where otherwise a large, expensive amplifier would be needed.

Application field

AD602ARZ-R7 is suitable for audio and video applications, like Stereo Multi-Media, High Resolution Digital Video, Audio, Video and RF applications. Besides, it is also used in medical and industrial purposes.

In addition, the extremely small package size (->5-SOT package) of the AD602ARZ-R7 makes it well suited as a high performing alternative to larger amplifiers, when it comes to noise or power supply related matters.

Working principle

The AD602ARZ-R7 integrated circuit contains input buffer amplifier, intermediate gain stages and output amplifier, interconnected by a set of internal feedback sections. The input signals are routed through the ADC and the VGA for controlling the low and high frequency roll-off of the amplifier, which determine the amplifier behavior.
The output amplifier further amplifies the signal for the final amplification and buffering. The AD602ARZ-R7 is equipped with a chopper stabiliser that reduces voltage noise on the output stage, eliminating what is known as ‘popcorn noise’. This stabiliser also eliminates DC offset, which eliminates the need of DC compensation circuits.
In addition, the AD602ARZ-R7 supports a wide range of supply voltages (3.3V – 18V). The supply voltage determines the gain of the output stage, ranging from 25V/V upto 35V/V, with a minimum output current of 1mA. The quiescent current varies between 10µA, depending on the supply voltage of the IC.
