The AD602JNZ is a general purpose linear amplifier from Analog Devices’ Instrumentation, OP Amps, Buffer Amps range. It is a low-noise, low-distortion, and moderately high-gain instrumentation amplifier with a gain range of 10-100,000 and a 3-pole low-pass filter having a -3 dB point of 8 kHz. The AD602JNZ is particularly suited to applications where the need for high-precision amplification and low-noise performance is critical.
The AD602JNZ’s design is based on the instrumentation amplifier (IA) topology. IA topology provides precision amplification where the input signals are commonly low-level and unbalanced. This is due to its capability of providing very high CMRR, input common-mode range, high-input impedance, and low-output offset. The usage of advanced power-supply rejection technique, capacitive error-minimization technique, and active output filter allow the AD602JNZ to achieve very high linearity and superior video-performance characteristics without any external filters.

In audio systems, the AD602JNZ serves as an analog preamplifier with both voltage and current outputs. The AD602JNZ IC is somewhat unique, in that the IC contains three op-amps that share a common high-impedance input node. The buffer offers independent volume control, power supply flexibility, and superior common mode noise rejection ratio. The integrated output stage includes a high-speed driver and a 3-pole low-pass filter, providing seamless video bandwidth and distortion-free signal reproduction.
The Unity Gain Buffer (UGB) is designed to handle the high-frequency signals and to provide excellent signal separation and dynamic range. The UGB section of the AD602JNZ IC offers low output noise, low distortion and a wide frequency response which enables dynamic signal separation and signal transmission over a wide frequency range.
