The AD664JNZ-BIP is a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that converts digital signals into analog signals. It consists of a 10-bit, static register and an static weighing resistor network DAC. The static register is used to store the digital code representing an analog voltage. The static weighing network DAC uses a string of serially connected metal oxide film resistors to convert the digital code into corresponding analog voltage.The ADC resolution is 8 bits, and the digital input range is 0 to 1023 decimal. The digital input range is 0 to 10V and the output range is 2 to 8V. The conversion rate is greater than 1MHz, and the total integral linearity error (INL) is less than .1% of full scale output.To use the ADC, it should be connected to a microcontroller via SPI bus. The microcontroller will initialize the DAC, write the data to be converted and then read the digital output. Due to the internal register, the DAC maintains the data written to it until new data is written. This feature enables the DAC to remain active in a timed data acquisition system without having to continually write data to the DAC.The AD664JNZ-BIP is available in a compact SOT package and offers superior performance in a wide variety of data acquisition and control system applications.
