The AD712KNZ is a high-speed, wide band, low-noise and low-power-consumption differential amplifier. It is intended to be used in instrumentation and medical applications, industrial process control and biotechnological applications. The AD712KNZ is designed to operate from a single +5V power supply, minimizing the need for dual-power supply configuration and thus offering a wide range of applications in instrumentation, medical, industrial process control, biotechnology and telecoms. The AD712KNZ is capable of delivering a 10MHz bandwidth with a 200ns settling time. This is achieved by the use of a unique input stage, which is optimized for low-noise operation and wideband gain. The input stage is designed to provide a low input-to-output noise density, which helps to minimize degradation of dynamic range. The use of an active silicon process enables high closed-loop gain, and adjustable multi-stage current mirror gain control provides the ability to tailor the gain to the application.

The AD712KNZ is a two-stage differential amplifier. The first stage is a high-speed, wide-band differential amplifier, which consists of a single pair of input transistors and a pair of current mirrors. The second stage is a single-stage, closed-loop amplifier, which is designed to provide adjustable gain, current mirrored gain control and bipolar DC offset correction. The output stage is a single-stage, low-power, low-noise current mirror. This mirror is designed to provide low-output-impedance and low-power-consumption.
