The AD7512DIJP is an integrated circuit (IC) chip manufactured by Analog Devices. It is an integrated single-pole multi-throw (SPDT) ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM) switch with an integrated power on-reset MEMS release detector (MRD). The device is suitable for use in a wide range of applications where both high performance, low power consumption and accurate switching and sensing are required. The AD7512DIJP was designed to provide a low-power and relatively low-cost alternative to traditional FET switches.

Working Principle

The AD7512DIJP switch and MEMS release detector works by applying a voltage to the control pins, which cause the switch to operate. When the switch is powered on, it will reset any pre-set functions, such as in network switches. The MEMS release detector monitors the switch and will detect if the switch opens or closes, using a MEMS (micro-electrical mechanical system) mechanism. This measured value is then reported via the output pins.
