The AD7682BCPZ is a low power, 14-bit, 0.5MSPS (Mega Samples Per Second) Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) with a patented split supply rail architecture. The split supply provides the convenience of operation from a single 2.6 V supply and the accuracy of operation from 0 V to +2.3 V over a wide range of temperatures. The AD7682BCPZ utilizes pipeline architecture with a rail-to-rail, 2-stage sample and hold amplifier. This combination provides high speed, great accuracy and low power (170 mW).
The AD7682BCPZ has wide dynamic range, high sampling rate and very low power consumption, making it well suited for data acquisition and sensor interface applications. This device is designed to convert analog input signals into a 14-bit digital output and operate from a single power supply of 2.6V over the industrial temperature range while providing excellent static and dynamic performance.
One key feature of the AD7682BCPZ is its patented split supply rail architecture. This architecture divides the device into two halves and provides separate core power, I/Os and clocking power. Each half has its own separate supply voltage and each half can be independently powered down, to minimize power consumption when not in use. This allows the device to remain powered on while simultaneously sharing the same analog and digital I/O and the same clocking resources.
The AD7682BCPZ is designed to deliver accurate and reliable performance over a wide temperature range (-40 C to +85 C).
