The AD7730LBRU is a high-performance analog front-end (AFE) module designed by Analog Devices (ADI) for data acquisition applications. It is an integrated, low-power, 24-bit, low-noise analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that combines a chopper-stabilized, low-drift amplifier, a configurable low-pass filter, an anti-alias filter, an analog multiplexer and an integrated Delta-Sigma A/D converter. The AD7730LBRU provides precise analog signal acquisition and conditioning, allowing for accurate and consistent measurement data.The AD7730LBRU is designed for use in a wide variety of signal acquisition applications. It can be used in automotive, industrial, medical and consumer applications, and is particularly well-suited for applications that require extremely precise signal conditioning, low power dissipation and high ADC resolution. For example, the module could be used to measure temperatures in extremely precise environments, or to monitor precise blood-pressure readings.The AD7730LBRU is essentially an integrated analog signal conditioning system. It features a built-in, low-power, 24-bit Sigma-Delta Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). This device allows incoming signals to be converted to digital form without any additional components, e.g. analog multiplexers, low-pass filters, temperature sensors, etc. The ADC also has extensive built-in analog multiplexers, allowing it to accept up to eight input signals. This can significantly reduce the board space needed for signal conditioning, ultimately reducing the overall size of the AD7730LBRU module.The AD7730LBRU also features a number of low-power components and integrated functions that enable low power consumption during operation. These components and functions include an integrated chopper-stabilized amplifier, a configurable low-pass filter and an anti-aliasing filter. The chopper-stabilized amplifier helps to maintain stability of measured signals, while the low-pass filter reduces the noise of incoming signals and the anti-aliasing filter ensures that any noise components higher in frequency than the sampling frequency are eliminated.The AD7730LBRU also features a temperature sensor with an additional temperature compensation circuit that allows for accurate and reliable temperature measurements even in extreme temperature environments. This allows the device to be used in applications where very precise temperature readings are required.The AD7730LBRU offers a wide variety of configurable options, allowing users to tailor the module\'s performance to specific applications. It has an adjustable gain on the reference channel and low-pass filter, and is capable of driving multiple loads with its output range extended to +/-16V.
