AD8306-EVALZ Application Field and Working Principle
The AD8306-EVALZ evaluation board is a precision linear-in-dB gain block designed for use in a wide range of voltage transfer and logarithmic amplifier (LNA) applications. The board features an integrated AD8306L linear-in-dB amplifier with a maximum gain of 20 dB, and has a wide bandwidth of 500 MHz. The AD8306L is a two-stage, rail-to-rail single-ended input/output amplifier that provides extremely wide dynamic range from its small 8-pin SOIC package. It provides a linear-in-dB voltage transfer with a 1 V/dB gain accuracy over a 4:1 range, making it ideal for a variety of voltage transfer and logarithmic amplifier applications, such as audio mixers, video transmitters, RF receiver applications, and instrumentation amplifiers.
