.AD8330-EVALZ is evaluation board from Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), which shows the working principle of high performance op amps and provides a evaluation platform to facilitate design variety of applications, such as low-noise sensor preamplifiers, transimpedance amplifiers, current sensing for precision industrial and medical instrumentation, active filter, etc.
The AD8330-EVALZ is a low power, low noise, low cost, wideband op amp evaluation platform which comes with the easily configurable, surface mountable AD8332 dual precision op amp units with 7-bit gain control. It offers fast prototyping, measurement and evaluation through a combination of two AD8332 precision op amps and the ADI Precision Synchronous Clock Generator. Each of the two AD8332 op amps is connected to the AD8330-EVALZ support board, which can be used to connect external components, adjust gains or other parameters in the design, and measure performance parameters such as input offset voltage, output offset voltage, power supply rejection ratio, or small-signal responses.
The AD8330-EVALZ board provides a detailed operational model for the AD8332 precision op amp and is designed to provide convenient access to all of the key characteristics of the op amp for new product and application development. The evaluation board offers users the versatility to modify the design with various external components to explore the performance of different op amp circuits. It includes the AD8332 dual precision op amp, the ADI Precision Synchronous Clock Generator, and the AD8330-EVALZ support board, which includes the necessary components to build the evaluation setup.
Each of the two AD8332 op amp has its own 7-bit gain control, wideband frequency response from dc to 60MHz, and 6ns settling time to 0.01%. With the AD8332, the user can achieve high performance with an input noise voltage density of 1.1nV/√Hz (Typical) and an input-referred voltage noise of 3nV/√Hz. The AD8332 offers a wide range of gain settings from 0.25V/V to 25V/V, standard and pin-selectable common mode, several power and signal configurations, and 5V and 2.5V supply compatibility. Combined with the ADI Precision Synchronous Clock Generator, the AD8330-EVALZ provides dynamic performance for a wide range of audio, medical, and industrial applications.
The AD8330-EVALZ board is designed for easy configuration, allowing the user to quickly evaluate and design a wide range of Circuits. With its on-board components and connections to the AD8332 op amp, the AD8330-EVALZ evaluation board can be integrated into a variety of applications like low-noise sensor preamplifiers, transimpedance amplifiers, current sensing for precision industrial and medical instrumentation, active filter, etc. It also enables users to determine the exact performance parameters such as gain, offset voltage, power supply rejection ratio and small-signal frequency response of different op amp applications.
