The AD9125-M5375-EBZ is an evaluation board for digital-to-analog converters (DACs). It provides designers with the ability to evaluate the performance and features of the AD9125 DAC. It is suitable for a wide range of applications which require high-speed data conversion, such as audio/video, imaging, communication, instrumentation and automation.
The AD9125-M5375-EBZ consists of a converter and system platform, reference and evaluation boards, and a high-density mezzanine card. The board is designed to provide access to all of the features and performance of the AD9125 DAC. It also features fully differential analog output and in-situ calibrations, allowing designers to quickly and easily evaluate the performance of the DAC. The board is powered by a 5V VDD power supply rail with an I2C/SPI interface.
The AD9125 DAC is a fully differential, high-speed, low-power amplifier that converts digital audio data into analog form for playback, and it can also generate audio output from a digital signal processor (DSP) or other digital audio-processing system. The converter offers up to 20-bit resolution, an SNR of better than 105 dB, and a THD of better than -95 dB. The AD9125’s output stage is tailored to drive a wide range of load impedances, providing a constant level of output regardless of the load impedance. The AD9125 also supports a wide range of sampling rates, up to 384 kHz for audio content.
The AD9125-M5375-EBZ provides a wide range of connectors and interfaces including an audio output jack (3.5mm + 1 x RCA), S/PDIF input and output jacks (RCA), I2/S interface ports, an LED interface, an analog test point, a power on/off switch, as well as ground and voltage measurement pins. The AD9125-M5375-EBZ includes access to the on-board EEPROM for user programming and allows the user to easily configure the parameters of the converter.
The AD9125-M5375-EBZ evaluation board also features a wide range of advanced features including the ability to monitor its performance through a built-in oscilloscope, monitor voltage and temperature, and perform in-situ calibrations. It also offers a self-test mode that verifies the functionality of the converter. The board also provides a wide range of diagnostic options to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
