AD9172-FMC-EBZ evaluation board is a cost-effective solution for engineers to quickly evaluate the performance of a digitally controllable 16-bit, dual-channel analog-to-digital converter (DAC) with wideband digital-to-analog conversion capability. The AD9172-FMC-EBZ is a flexible platform for application developers, allowing them to quickly prototype systems incorporating AD9172 evaluation boards with other FPGA-based digital signal processing and system control elements.The AD9172-FMC-EBZ is an evaluation board designed to evaluate the performance of the AD9172 high-speed, 16-bit, dual-channel DAC. The evaluation board features a complete, digitally controllable, high-speed DAC that operates up to 1.75 GSPS, providing an output bandwidth up to 1.08 GHz. It also supports Nyquist-folded data rates up to 2.5 GSPS, which allows higher data signal handling capabilities for wideband applications.The AD9172-FMC-EBZ evaluation board features two independent, 16-bit digital to analog converters, each with two differential outputs. Each channel is digitally controllable via a separate serial interface, and the board is designed to operate with 3.3V logic, 1.8V digital supply and supply 1.2V. The board also supports a 902 MHz version for applications operating up to 2.5 GSPS and single-ended outputs, and a 500 MHz version for applications operating up to 1.75 GSPS and differential outputs.The AD9172-FMC-EBZ evaluation board is designed to support differential outputs for improved noise immunity over that of single-ended outputs. All differential outputs are equalized and compensated, allowing for a larger range of applicable load impedances. The differential outputs can be driven by LVPECL, LVDS, CML, CMOS, or with an internal buffer.The flexibility and ease of use of the AD9172-FMC-EBZ evaluation board make it a powerful platform for clock and data recovery, telecommunications, and broadband communications applications. It is an affordable platform for digital-to-analog signal conversion with low distortion up to Nyquist-folded data rates. Combined with the ability to program multiple data interfaces on the AD9172-FMC-EBZ, including SPI, I/O and Serial Port Interface, this evaluation board is ideal for digital signal processing, DDS, and digital video applications.The AD9172-FMC-EBZ evaluation board offers a variety of power connectivity options, including power from an external power supply, a USB interface, or from the FMC connector. It is flexible enough to allow tests to be performed in various conditions, such as on a breadboard, within a system, or in an environmental chamber.The AD9172-FMC-EBZ evaluation board also features an on-board frequency synthesizer to allow users to accurately generate a signal for testing the functionality of the stage. It supports a fractional-N or integer-N synthesizer, allowing it to generate frequencies up to 2.5GHz, depending on the output frequency.The AD9172-FMC-EBZ evaluation board is an ideal choice for performing a wide variety of high-speed digital-to-analog signal conversion tests.
