AD9530BCPZ is a high-performance and low-cost, low-power CMOS clock and frequency synthesizer for use in general timing applications in communications, data processing and networking systems.

The device allows for independent control of a programmable reference oscillator, phase detector, and fractional-N frequency synthesizer in order to provide multiple channels of stable, low-jitter clock output frequencies. It is the most cost-effective device in the AD9530 family with a simpler design, lower power consumption, and less stringent requirements on the reference oscillator.

Working Principle of AD9530BCPZ

The working principle of the AD9530BCPZ is based on an advanced differential charge pump-based design. This process is called slew rate control.

The AD9530BCPZ contains a reference oscillator that produces a programmable output clock frequency. The reference oscillator frequency is then divided down by an internal divider stage and used to compare against an external clock frequency in a phase/frequency detector, which drives the charge pump.
